Data Deletion
How to disconnect Amazon accounts from Sotrics and have your data deleted, and how long it takes.
1. Disconnect Amazon access
- Seller account: in Sotrics, go to Settings → Seller connection → Disconnect. After you type DELETE to confirm, this deletes straight away the stored authorization, the reports synced from that account (sales, traffic, orders summaries, finances, inventory, listings, returns, reimbursements, pricing and Brand Analytics) and the records built from them: competitor tracking, alerts and the product change history Sotrics detected from Amazon. Disconnecting in Sotrics does not cancel the authorization on Amazon's side; to do that, also revoke it in Seller Central (see below).
- Data you entered yourself: product costs, expenses, suppliers, purchase orders, research projects, notes and change-log entries your team added by hand stay in your workspace until you ask us to delete them or close your account. Use the form below or email privacy@sotrics.com.
- Advertising account: the Amazon Ads connection is not available yet. Once it is, Settings → Amazon Ads → Disconnect will delete the connection and all advertising data synced from it straight away.
- From Amazon: you can also revoke access from your Amazon account's app authorization settings.
2. What we delete, and when

| Disconnect a seller account | The authorization, that account's synced reports, competitor tracking, alerts and Amazon-detected change history are deleted from our database immediately. |
| Delete data you entered | Deleted within 30 days of your request. |
| Disconnect an advertising account (when available) | The connection and its advertising data are deleted from our database immediately. |
| Buyer return comments and order IDs | Removed automatically 90 days after the return date. Return counts, reasons and amounts are kept for your reports. |
| Close your Sotrics account | Your account, team settings, entered data and all Amazon data are deleted within 30 days. Records the law requires us to keep (for example, invoices) are kept only as long as required. |
| Backups | Automatic database backups expire on their own, so deleted data disappears from backups within 30 days. |
3. How requests are handled
We confirm each request by email, may ask you to confirm it from your account email address, carry it out, and confirm when it is done.
