Amazon Integration
How Sotrics connects to Amazon, what it can see, and how you stay in control.
A. What the integration is
Sotrics connects to Amazon only through Amazon's official interfaces: the Selling Partner API (SP-API) for seller account data, and, once approved, the Amazon Ads API for advertising data. These are separate integrations with separate authorizations. Sotrics does not ask for your Seller Central password.
B. How account connection works
Planned public workflow (in development):
Create a Sotrics account
Select “Connect Amazon” in Sotrics
You are redirected to Amazon's authorization pageYou sign in on Amazon, not on Sotrics.
Review and grant the requested permissionsAmazon shows the application name and the access requested.
Amazon returns the authorization result to Sotrics
Sotrics stores the authorization securelyThe refresh token is encrypted before it is stored.
Sotrics retrieves the permitted business information
You use your reports and dashboards
Today, during early access, accounts are connected by the account owner using their own Amazon developer authorization for their own account, set up with our team. Sotrics verifies the authorization with Amazon before saving it, and stores it encrypted. Once one-click authorization is live, this page will be updated.
C. Data accessed
Sotrics requests only the categories below, which match the features it provides. It does not request Amazon's restricted roles for buyer personal information.

| Orders (summary only) | All-orders report, used only to count orders and sales by ship-to state and country | Sales-by-region map. Buyer names, addresses, emails and phone numbers are not stored |

D. How the data is used
- Why: to show the dashboards, reports and alerts described on our Features page to the account that authorized the access.
- Analytics: data is used to calculate your own metrics. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with other customers.
- Service providers: data is stored and processed with DigitalOcean (App Platform and managed PostgreSQL database), Bangalore data centre (BLR1), India. Account emails are sent through Resend (account emails such as invitations and alerts). See our Privacy Policy.
- Read-only: Sotrics reads your data. It does not change your listings, prices or advertising campaigns.
- Deletion: you can disconnect and ask for deletion at any time. See Data Deletion.
E. Disconnecting Amazon
- Seller account (SP-API): in Sotrics, go to Settings → Seller connection → Disconnect. This removes the stored authorization and deletes the reports synced from that account. Other records in your workspace (competitor tracking, product change history, alerts, and costs or notes you entered) are deleted when you ask us or close your account. See Data Deletion.
- Advertising (Ads API): not yet available. Once it is, you can email support@sotrics.com and we will remove the connection and its data.
- From Amazon: you can also revoke access from your Amazon account's app authorization settings at any time.
