Frequently asked questions

How much are Amazon FBA storage fees in 2026?

Standard-size items cost $0.78 per cubic foot per month from January to September and $2.40 from October to December. Oversize items cost $0.56 and $1.40. Aged inventory and storage utilization surcharges can be added on top.

How do I calculate cubic feet for a product?

Multiply length × width × height in inches and divide by 1,728. A 12 × 9 × 2 inch box is 216 ÷ 1,728 = 0.125 cubic feet.

Why are storage fees higher from October to December?

Warehouse space is in the highest demand during the holiday season, so Amazon roughly triples the standard-size rate for those three months. Send only the stock you expect to sell.

Does this include the aged inventory surcharge?

No. Aged inventory surcharges apply to units stored longer than about 6 months and vary by age band. Check the FBA Inventory Age report in Seller Central for your exact charges.
